Mnemonics for Zodiac Signs

An easy way to create mnemonics for zodiac signs is to use a Number Rhyme System as a Peg List.

Zodiac signs:

1. Aries
2. Taurus
3. Gemini
4. Cancer
5. Leo
6. Virgo
7. Libra
8. Scorpio
9. Sagittarius
10. Capricorn
11. Aquarius
12. Pices

You can then create a set of 12 number pegs for them. Here are some example mnemonic pegs:

• one rhymes with sun
• two rhymes with shoe
• three rhymes with tree
• four rhymes with door
• five rhymes with hive
• six rhymes with sticks
• seven rhymes with heaven
• eight rhymes with gate
• nine rhymes with wine
• ten sounds similar to tent
• eleven sounds similar to wyvern if you stretch it to fit
• twelve rhymes with a delve (cave)

Once you have the pegs, associate each peg to one of the signs by creating a Mnemonic Image.

For example:

• The image for one is “sun”. Link an image of the Sun with an image of Aries, the ram.
• The image for two is “shoe”. Link an image of a shoe with Taurus, the bull.
• The image for three is “tree”. Link an image of a tree with Gemini, the twins.
• and so on.
