Matching Game: Hard Words

Loading game...

Flip two cards at a time and match the hard words. Some of these words are long, some are hard to spell, and some are both, so each one takes a little more effort to hold in your head than a simple picture.

How to remember the words

Turn each word into a picture before you try to remember where it is. Split it into sounds and build a scene from them. Defenestration might become a deaf fence being thrown out of a window, which is also what the word means. This is the same approach memory athletes use in the words event at competitions.

Then place each picture on a location in a memory palace, one location per position on the board. When you see the partner card later, walk back through the palace to find it.
