Note-Taking Pens

Note-taking becomes more enjoyable when you have a pen with a comfortable, smooth writing feel. Try one of these beginner-friendly fountain pens or Micron pens. The TWSBI ECO and the Lamy Safari provide an inexpensive way to get started with fountain pens. Sakura Micron pens come in many sizes and colors, and are great for drawing and writing. You can adjust the specs of the pens once you click on one of the links below. Micron 05 is a good general size. The 005 is great for very small writing.

Mnemosyne Notebooks

Mnemosyne notebooks are made by the Japanese company Maruman. They use high-quality, smooth paper that provides an excellent writing experience. The paper is strong enough to use with fountain pens. These notebooks have wire binding that allows them to lay flat so that the paper doesn't bounce while writing. Mnemosyne notebooks are available with lines, grids, dots, or blank, and come in several convenient sizes. These notepads are named after the Greek goddess of memory too!
