10,000-Image Mnemonic System

This is an experimental template for a four-digit number system, described in the blog posts on brainstorming a full 10,000-image system and more thoughts on a 10,000-image system. It is 10,144 images once the 144 face-card pairs are counted.

It never got past the brainstorming stage and has not been tested, so treat it as a starting point rather than a finished system. For background, see the wiki article on 10,000-image number systems.

Each row pairs a four-digit number with the sounds that spell it out. The second and fourth digits double as card suits, so 1,600 of the numbers also name a pair of playing cards, and any number whose digits are all 7 or less also has a 12-bit binary form.

When you open the file, import the Number column as text. Spreadsheet apps treat it as a number by default and strip the leading zeros, which turns 0042 into 42.
