Would you take part in a weekly memory league?

I have been thinking for some time now about possibly organizing a weekly memory league where competitors would compete against each other each week and then be ranked on a ladder. A finals series would then takes place at the end of each season to determine that season's champion.

With the launch of Memory League, I think that the head to head feature now makes such a competition possible. It would be casual at first and based on honesty obviously but I think given time it could develop into something really cool. Eventually you could have divisions with promotions and demotions.

The reasons I think it would be good is because it would allow competitors to compete more than once every few months and give people all over the world the chance to compete against each other. Now I don't know what the plans are regarding memory leagues official tournaments, but I imagine that if its alright with the creators such a competition could be organised casually or informally (Maybe run through a thread on this forum?) until there is a 'official' infrastructure in place.

What I'm interested in hearing is if this is something people would be keen on seeing? Would you want to compete? Let us know your thoughts.

I have only just seen this post.
Earlier today I announced a knockout tournament on Memory League.
I have posted it on here and also on Facebook.
Based on your above post, it might appeal to you and if the knockout event goes well and people enjoy it then a league as you describe may well be a popular choice ...
