Version 1 of my PAO list

Finally finished the draft of my PAO list - feels like it's taken me forever, but I guess it's only been a couple of weeks.

I'm posting it here in the hope that
1) It may be useful to someone else building their list
2) Some kind and observant people may point out any weaknesses or clashes in what I've done.

Because I'm wanting to use this entirely for real-world numbers, it contains E (times ten to the power of) and decimals, but no Jacks, Queens or Kings ... though I'm not ruling out adding those in the future (in fact as I have 12 numbers per "suite" already - e.g. 2, .2, 02, 12, 22, 32, 42 .. 92 I'd only need to add four more).

Great stuff, Neil. It's awesome that you've gotten this done. You've done something different by including clear decimal digits and exponentiation, although I think there's a reason it hasn't been done before: in our 00 - 99 list, we already have a 01 - 09 list. 01 - 09 don't exist at the beginning of numbers. It's not 0100 to mean "one hundred" it's 100. It would then suggest that 01 - 09 being at the start would connote a decimal: 01 being 0.1 and so on.

Also, with exponentiation, PAO doesn't really fit in with most scientific constants. 6.02 x 10^23, 6.63 x10^-36 etc. Doesn't quite fit in with your system.

I like the letter assignments. :)
I posted a link to this page from the PAO system wiki page so that people can find it.

I think if I had a PAO system I would get distracted by laughing at the combinations that appeared in the numbers. :)

The '0' before the decimal was put in by the spreadsheet i edited in ... they're intended to be just .0, .1 etc I'll edit later!

The single decimal digits are largely for 'uneven' lengthed numbers, as 2 digit PAO natively deals best with numbers in 6 digit chunks.

I'm not really interested in learning scientific constants. The E is there for occasional use really.

Actually if I know something is a number in scientific format, I don't need the E or decimal. Knowing that my PAO are digit-decimal-exponent would be sufficient. But if it wouldn't be clear from the context then that E is there to help me.

Now thinking I need to decide how to code minuses!
