New Member: Christos, Australia, 15yo

Hey, I'm Christos. I'm 15 years old and from Melbourne, Australia. I've known about this kind of stuff for a few years but I never really bothered getting into it, but the summer holidays have just started and I decided it would be pretty cool to learn. I don't have any memory feats, really. I've memorised 30ish digits of pi but that's nothing compared to everyone on this forum. I don't have any specific challenges at the moment. Maybe getting good at memorising numbers and learning to memorise a deck of cards would be a good start. I decided to sign up here just so I can discuss this kind of stuff with others. I'm not a fan of lurking on forums.

Hi Christos,

I am from Castlemaine, so not far away. I am convinced the memory methods discussed on this forum could be hugely useful in school. All the best with it, and I hope I get to follow what you are doing here. They are a very friendly lot,s o ask anything you want.

Hi! Using memory techniques for school is just another plus for me to learn to do this stuff, but it's not really a specific goal of mine, since I can do reasonably well already without studying. However, I think in later years where studying is essential the ability to use memorisation methods will help enormously.
