Bought "How to Develop a Brilliant Memory Week by Week" by Dominic O'Brien a few weeks ago and that introduced me to memory techniques. I became slightly obsessed with it, and a few Google searches led me here. After the book I started practising the major system, downloaded Anki and just finished my 00-99 / 2 digit PAO system (with help getting started from resources on this website). I also began writing a journal documenting my memory palaces, ideas for memory systems and methods for retaining information I've learned.

My interests are mainly on using this as a tool for efficient memorisation of facts and dates.

It is awesome to see the amount of progress you have made already! Do you have some specific information you want to learn or just general facts and dates?

Best,
Johnny

Thanks. Outlawyr's template, this, and 2Know helped me choose memorable people. Specifically my ambition is to start memorising fact-crammed textbooks on history and biology by first converting them into notes and then using the journey method for recall. I'd also like to start applying it to learn the vocabulary of Koine Greek (using Bill Mounce).

Although at the moment I'm just planning memory palaces and practicing mnemonic systems until it feels natural.
