It will be easier to help you if you tell us what you study (is it one subject or many) and why.
I also had a lot of problems with my concentration (few of them to this day) and I can tell you that there are many solutions.

1) Motivation - you need to know why you do something and if it's important
Example: You learn biology because your dream is to be a doctor.

2) Clear goals - you must know exactly what you want to do
Example: TO-DO list:
- read chapter 8
- remember 10 definitions
- learn formulas from page 93

3) Practice - getting distracted is just a bad habit, so in order to eliminate it you need to create a new one
Example: You read book, you get distracted, BOOM, get back where you have lost. Repeat this every time.

I will give you more advices if you specify what you study for.

There are a lot of great tips to help avoid distraction and remain focused in the book Deep Work by Cal Newport. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Anatomy and physiology are broad and difficult subjects so it's normal that learning them might be hard.

You're reading a book, everything is fine
Then problem occurs. You read a fragment or definition that you can't understand.
Your brain has a bad habit to escape from this problem so your thoughts go somewhere else.
You need to learn your brain to avoid this. (Just like I wrote before).

The reason of your problems with focus is that habit: Problem ==> escape
Destroy it and you will get the results.

If you study anatomy I assume that it's related to your future job. It means you want to do this.

Don't force yourself to study. It should be fun for you. Learning this specific subject was your decision so you may take a pleasure from it.

The problem with many people is they consider learning or work as something that has to be hard. It doesn't. In fact when you enjoy it you will do it much better. A brain absorbs things that are pleasant and needed. You need the knowledge in the future so your mind will adapt to it.

Just relax, learn often and have fun

A technique that helps retention and focus is self quizzing. I think everybody knows the feeling of reading a text and then not knowing what you just read. Make a habit out of summarizing every page or paragraph in your head. Then you force yourself into focus. And it helps understanding and retention to. There is also a benefit in the long run. Your mind will start to anticipate these self quizes and that will improve tour concentration. It might feel slow, but it is more efficient than just readng.
