Seeking advice

Hi, I will be very happy if you can help me!

Little backstory to my problem: Last year, my memory was amazing, I could learn several, even dozens of lessons of any subject in a matter of hours. Maybe 3 hours max.
This year? In the summer I spent time developing social skills and my working memory. Turns out, mental power isn't unlimited. As my other skills increased, my long-term memory suffered.

I had enough of this. Teachers do not behave the same way with me as they did before. Last year, I was offered to take part in few competitions. This year that number was reduced.

Do you have anything that can help? I am willing to try anything. I have already tried the method of loci, it does work, but it takes too much time. If there are any links on the forum that I can find interesting, post them.

Thanks :)

What kind of competitions? Are they were something that you were training for?

Biology, chemistry and geography competitions. I was offered to take part in these last year, along with physics, math and astronomy. My physics teached signed me up without even asking me this year, same with math and I'm unsure about whether I should take astronomy.

All these (except math and physics) require memory.
