Ahoy! Hallo! Salut! My name's Dillon, I'm 20 and I'm super psyched to be here. Let's answer some questions.

Tell us about yourself: who are you, what do you do, where are you from?

My name is Dillon, and I enjoy coffee, reading, learning languages, starting businesses, and trying to make enough money to free myself of a working life.

How did you find about memory techniques? What did you like about them most?

Josh Foer brought me here! Moonwalking with Einstein had been on my "to-read" list for a few years, first as a way to inspire lucid dreams, and I never really had gotten around to it. Well, now that I'm looking into converting into a new religion and reading a maaaaaaaasive load of books just to better myself, my worldview, and my business attempts, I figured a strong memory is the best foundation to have.

What is your current best memory feat?

I memorized the 15-item shopping list in the book. Though, I also managed to get a decent chunk of German and French down in less than 3 years, but that wasn't directly at the hand of the techniques you all use here.

What's currently your biggest challenge when it comes to getting the memory you want?

I'm still learning the ropes! Right now I think my biggest real-world appliance issue is just remembering the shit that I read on a regular basis. My biggest challenge regarding memory, finding an apt memory palace to start with.

What's the big goal you want to achieve? What have you tried so far? What worked, what didn't?

I want to have learned at least 10 languages in the next 25 years, used the knowledge and skills from the books I read to start (at least) one successful software business in the next four years, and grow to simply travel the world and help spread the joy of language learning, freeing my mind, world peace and unification (and all that jazz), making music, being involved in theatre (insert rest of laundry list.)

Why did you decide to become an ArtOfMemory.com Member?

Reddit says you guys are the go-to memory community on the Internet! Make a monster out of me damnit!
